he Akistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) fined the channel Rs 1 million on January 20, banning the broadcast of objectionable and inappropriate content on "Champions", a private TV entertainment program.

GTV's administration approached the Islamabad High Court against PEMRA's order, which led to several hearings in the case, and the Islamabad High Court acknowledged PEMRA's stand on the content of the broadcast in the Champions program. And banned the broadcast of the program on the non-profit of the country and directed private TV to pay a fine of Rs 1 million immediately.
